All Black Ink™ is now available for some models in single slots as well as several full slot products. While a full set of cartridges means a printer is dedicated to film output and running efficiently, for the printer models that cannot for technical reasons be an all slot solution you are getting the very best dye ink for your very best film output results.
The key to successful output is a proper setup and maintenance of the printer. The rule is the more frequently ink sprays from a slot the less likely it will clog. So if you have a single slot solution and the color slots sit idle maintenance is your best friend. Although you can print from a matte black slot, for example, even if an unneeded color slot is clogged, it is smart to attend to any clogs.
Run a pattern nozzle check once a week at least to catch any issues early. Attend to them with Amaze-Ink Maintenance Fluid and Clog Busting Liquid and/or follow Epson’s instructions for clearing a clog.
The All Black Ink SHOP page outlines the models and types of products available.
