Big Sur Compatibility

Freehand is hard at work redeveloping a totally reimagined version of AccuRIP™ knows as Emerald due out in Spring 2021.

AccuRIP™ Black Pearl and Ruby are compatible on El Capitan through Catalina OS, please maintain these OS versions.

Already upgraded to Big Sur? Do you have another computer on hand either Mac or Windows running El Cap-Catalina or Windows 8-10 that could still “host” Black Pearl or Ruby?

If yes, we can help you get installed and printing from that computer then you can use the Big Sur computer to print from a network shared AccuRIP™ printer driver.

All Black Ink™ Out of Stock

AccuRIP Emerald is coming soon in Q1 2021 with All Black Ink returning as a built-in feature!

Remain Productive:

While Freehand™ is developing AccuRIP Emerald, AccuRIP Ruby and Sep Studio 4 will by default print through the Photo Black slot. You can also check/adjust settings in the software: File Menu > Edit Configuration.

We suggest that you run a Droplet Weight Density Test Print to determine if your droplet weight setting should be adjusted or the printer resolution raised for your best film results. Single slot printing produces top quality results.

Users with a single computer:

Users with two computers:

Continue to print high quality films from the default Photo Black ink tank.
For those that must have the All Black Ink™ feature now, install a fully functional trial of Ruby or Sep Studio™ onto another computer. Both include ABI™.
Trial expired? Request a trial extension.

How to Activate Your PrintFab License

All users should have an active or expired PrintFab trial installed before activation.

Following purchase navigate to your MY ACCOUNT, under the “My Software Licenses” dropdown locate, highlight, and copy the PrintFab serial number.

Next, go to this page of PrintFab ZEDOnet’s Webiste and paste the serial number into the “License order code” field. Properly fill out the rest of the form, and click “Send”. ZEDOnet will email you a license Keyfile used to activate the software.

On Windows: Open PrintFab, in the lower right corner of the PrintFab window Click “About/License”. Then click “Select license Keyfile…”. Now locate and select your downloaded license Keyfile in the file browser, and click “Open”. Click “OK” in the following windows.

On Mac: Locate your downloaded license Keyfile in Finder then double click it. In the PrintFab windows that appear click “Yes”, enter your password, click “OK”, then click “OK” again.
