Windows to Mac Sharing the AccuRIP Printer Driver

here’s how…

From the WINDOWS HOST computer where AccuRIP is installed

go to the Control Panel

> Hardware & Sounds > Printers  Vista

> Devices & Printers Windows 7 thru 10

Right Click the AccuRIP Printer Driver

Sharing Vista

or Printer Properties / Sharing Win 7 thru 10

select “Share this Printer”

Click Apply then OK

The AccuRIP Printer Driver is now available for other computers on your Local Area Network to add and PRINT from.

Macintosh requirements

Go to https://softwareforscreenprinters.com/support/guides then DOWNLOAD links and select OS X PPD files.

You can save the OS X PPD folder anywhere on your computer.

from the hard drive follow this path…

> Library

> Printers

>PPDs

>Contents

>Resources

>en.lproj

from the Apple Menu choose System Preferences/Printers & Scanners

click the + icon

go to “Add Printer or Scanner”

Click Windows. Locate your Windows computer on your network and login as Administrator.

Select the shared AccuRIP driver from the list of shared printer drivers.

select the proper workgroup and computer to display “Shared printers”

from the “print using” pop-down menu (if PPD is not auto selected) click “other” and navigate to the previously custom installed…

then add

The printer driver is installed.

You’re ready…

use the AccuRIP to Epson driver from the computer on your network.

Repeat the procedure…

for each computer on your network you want to print from using AccuRIP.

Helpful Tip

Sharing any driver including the AccuRIP driver is dependent upon each computer operating system.

Stay within OS “editions” to improve your opportunity to successfully share.

For example, a user of Windows Professional should share with other Windows Professional edition users.

Windows has several editions (i.e. Home, Professional, Enterprise)

Sharing is a fast and easy setup.
