Non-Genuine Message
when Installing Ink in Wide Format Printers
Non Genuine is a proper message to see when using non Epson inks.
Epson by law has to allow the use of other ink brands, they don’t have to like it, but they must do it.
The Non Genuine message simply reminds us we are not using Epson brand inks – part of an understandable product pride and marketing.
The Non Genuine message means all the installed cartridges are recognized by the printer.
This is good!
Click the DOWN Arrow on the printer display to scroll through Epson’s disclaimer
until you are prompted to click the left arrow to accept (yes).
Continue clicking the down arrow to finish the disclaimer and again click the left arrow to
ACCEPT
The printer now charges the ink into the system and displays:
“Ready”
If you previously installed color inks or clear fluids in the printer before installing All Black Inks™ you MUST perform a Power Clean (or Powerful Cleans) until all the inks in the lines are cleared out.
You want your film production to use ALL BLACK INK and not color inks.
Inkjet cleaning instructions are in your Epson User Guide for your model.
