Textures Guide – Make Good Images Great!

Separation Studio NXT has a fast and powerful textures tool. Applied textures knock out portions of separations down to the textile, this feature not only turns good separations into great prints, it saves ink and softens a print.
Right here is the Preview Window. It shows a preview of the end result of all the texture settings as well as the textile color underneath.
All separations in an art file will appear here in the the Separations section. Use the toggle to select or deselect all seps at once or click them individually. Textures will only apply to selected seps.
Sep Studio NXT comes preloaded with an exciting variety of stock Textures and Patterns.
You can grow your own unique texture library using the Add Category and Textures icons.
Use your mouse, keyboard arrows, or type the first letter of a texture to navigate and quickly select a texture. Repeatedly typing the same letter will cycle through all textures that begin with the same letter.
Once you’ve selected a texture use the options section to fine tune its placement to best enhance your image.
If you find you want to start this section over click “Reset Options” to return them to their default states.
When you’re done click OK to lock it in. Don’t forget to be creative, you can revisit the texture feature multiple times, layering as many textures as you want. Happy Printing
