How to Fix “Unable to Connect to RipCore”

Windows 7, 8, and 10

Here’s how to fix it.

When the RipCore becomes damaged due to a bad postscript file the repair is fast and easy.

Press the Windows key, type “run”, press the Enter key.

Type “services.msc”. Press the Enter key.

Locate the RipCoreRuby service, right click it, left click Stop.

In the Windows Explorer address bar type:


Press Enter

Select the two folders in the RipCore folder named:


Then press the Delete key.

Do not delete:

Click Continue in any windows that pop up.

Return to the Services window, right click RipCoreRuby, then left click Start.

Open AccuRIP

If AccuRIP did not open successfully go to
