Print Window

The Print window in Sep Studio NXT is packed with features screen printers will love. It supports direct printing or works seamlessly with compatible RIP software. To get started the RIP selection is to be set in the Preferences Window.
The window has three tabs, each unlocking specific tools and options—simply select a tab to explore and customize your print setup!
Print Windows Tabs
Separations
This section lists all design separations with toggles to control which ones are printed. Separations with a red dot by the Preview thumbnail will auto-toggle OFF when the Print Window opens.
Use the Master Toggle at the top to turn all separations ON or OFF or adjust individual toggles for precise control.

Marks and Layout
This tab manages pre-press marks, layout on the printed film, and image scaling. All changes are instantly reflected in the Proof Positive® preview window.
Layout Type
Switch between User Defined or Template.
User Defined Mode provides flexible control over pre-press marks and their positioning on the printed film relative to the image.
Switch between User Defined or Template.
- Toggle ON or OFF: Registration Marks, Centerlines, and Labels
- Adjust the size of marks or the gap distance between marks and the image
- Choose from a variety of efficient registration mark styles and increase their weight as needed
- Select from four stock layout options
- Scale the printed image using three available scaling methods

Template Mode provides a variety of sized layout options with pre-press marks, as well as blank templates for cases where pre-press marks are not needed.
Users have the ability to import/upload their own custom made templates which can be added/removed from software using the + or – icons.
Placement moves the image around on the selected template layout using X and Y values.
Scaling allows the image to be scaled to a specific Percentage, Fit Image, Scale to Size, and Do Not Scale.

Media Preview Tab
Select the media type and size that matches your RIP software configuration to view an accurate preview without sending data to the RIP.
By default Separation Studio® NXT defaults to any current or legacy version of AccuRIP®.
Toggle ON N-UP (nesting) for automatic ganging up of separations if applicable. Leave OFF for separate films per separation.
Rotate helps fit images too wide for selected film media.

Proof Positive®
The Proof Positive® preview window displays all available separations ready to print.
Cycle through separations using the arrows located to the left and right of the Proof Positive® label located at the upper left corner. Separation names are displayed in the upper right corner.
Print Data Display
Document Size displays the overall dimension of the document size including gaps, gutters, and marks, not the image size.
Print Size displays the media size selected under the Media Preview tab.
Preview Tools

The Pan tool allows the movement of an image that is zoomed to preview specific sections of the image.
Quickly zoom in or out of an image using magnify and reduce icons.
Fit displays the image as it will print on the film media.
